MY BODY IS MY BUDDY…AND NOT MY ENEMY
“I worked out today, I deserve this chocolate.”
“I ate too much last night, I need to workout today.”
Yes, food and workout belong to each other and are both for your health, but they do not offset each other.
FOOD IS NOT A REWARD – AND EXERCISE IS NOT A PUNISHMENT
I have really good news for you. No, you do not need to try the latest fitness craze or buy the latest fitness gadget to earn a fit body. All you need to do is: MOVE YOUR BODY. You need to exercise because in our modern society most of the day you will not move at all – you sit in the car / in the train, you sit at the office and you sit on your couch. You simply do not burn enough calories. What you need to find is a way to move your body every day in a way that you truly enjoy.
Now let’s talk about your food. If you consider chocolate a treat for yourself, then think again. You want to do something good for your body by eating good, healthy and clean food. But why do you need a treat then? Isn’t being good to your body reward enough?
The truth is – you are getting influenced by all the marketing activities out there. You have learnt to look at food as a reward. And this is how you act. Oh, I have managed to do this really hard sports class, now I can go home and a eat a lot / eat some chocolate (hey, I have burned all those calories!).
Change your mindset. Eat healthy and clean and consider that food feeds your body, but also your mind and soul. Move your body because you love yourself enough.
