Ihr habt meine Facebook-Eintrag von gestern sicherlich gesehen – und heute habe ich wieder eine E-Mail von einem Mitglied bekommen mit dem Titel MY STORY (which always makes my heart kind of stop beating):
you might have noticed that I stopped going to your Pilates classes. I have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis at the age of 22 due to a severe hip dysplasia. I will probably have two to three operations this summer, and in preparation for that I am in a special therapy programme at Medical Park Bad Wiessee. I just want you to know that even though I can’t go to your classes any more, I am still following your motivational posts on Facebook which help me to keep up with a positive spirit even though the therapy is time and pain intensive. You were talking about priorities, and I am now starting to put mine right and taking my health more seriously than most of my 20-year old peers. I am fighting for improvement and hope to – at least – reduce the number of necessary operations due to a stabilised body, mind and soul. I hope to return sometime soon and wish you all the best for 2016! C.
Sometimes I just cannot believe it. I look at the ladies in the classes – they all seem to be so positive, so young, so full of energy and plans, so beautiful. But sometimes life can be just hard.
Well, my special ladies out there who are still fighting with major (health) issues, I have made a plan:
WE WILL ALL MEET AT THE END OF 2016 AND I WANT TO SEE YOU ROCKING AGAIN!!!!
Because you know from sports: YOU NEED A GOAL TO ACHIEVE SOMETHING.
Never forget how strong you are.
